Important Guidelines
OSHA Code 29 CFR 1910.178 outlines the specific guidelines for the safe operation of powered industrial vehicles and other forklift devices. As per Federal Law, all persons who operate a forklift MUST be over the age of 18 years, AND must be sufficiently trained and certified to operate a forklift. The purpose of the forklift safety certification course is to retrain operators with previous forklift experience in the importance of safety and basic operating procedures. If you do not have prior hands-on experience on a forklift, you must contact your workplace for hands-on training before you can take the certification course and license. You can now take the training from the comfort of your home via a computer or tablet. No more attending in-person safety training classes!
